KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia), Sept 25, 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) has announced its full readiness to receive 5,123 new students for the 2025/2026 academic session, with registration scheduled to take place on September 27 and 28.
UMS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Kasim Hj. Mansor, said comprehensive preparations have been made to ensure a smooth registration process, as well as the implementation of the Orientation Week (Minggu Suai Mesra, MSM), which will continue until October 1.
“I would like to congratulate and extend a warm welcome to all new UMS students. We are committed to ensuring that the registration process runs smoothly, while also helping students adapt to campus life,” he said in a statement today.
He also reminded students, family members, and guardians to comply with traffic and security instructions during campus arrival to avoid congestion and ensure a more orderly registration process.
To facilitate the process, UMS has deployed a dedicated organising team, volunteers, and Orientation Week Student Facilitators (PSM) who will assist new students throughout the registration period and MSM.
“UMS remains committed to safeguarding student welfare through a wide range of academic and non-academic support services, ensuring a conducive environment for both learning and campus life,” Dr. Kasim added.
