Ewon Strengthens Aidiladha Spirit of Unity in Kadamaian

KOTA BELUD, May 24 — Ewon Benedick continued to strengthen the spirit of unity and togetherness in Kadamaian by presenting RM40,000 in contributions to seven mosques and a cluster of five suraus ahead of this year’s Aidiladha celebration.

The contribution, channelled through Cement Industries Sabah (CIS), benefited Masjid Tengkurus, Masjid Tambulion, Masjid Al-Mubarak Kampung Lasau Podi, Masjid Lompios, Masjid Takulung, Masjid Al-Ikhwan Kampung Rajunah, Masjid Lobong-Lobong, as well as five suraus comprising Surau Narinang, Melangkap Tiong, Lingkubang, Podos and Pinolobuh.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Kadamaian assemblyman’s office following a meeting with mosque committee chairpersons from across the Kadamaian constituency here today.

Ewon Benedick said the continued initiative reflected the commitment of the state government and local leadership in ensuring that the values of harmony, unity and mutual support remain deeply rooted among Sabah’s multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities.

He said the contribution was expected to assist mosques and suraus in carrying out the sacrificial rites and preparations for Aidiladha more smoothly and effectively.

“I would like to express my appreciation to CIS for its cooperation and concern in channelling this contribution to the Muslim community in Kadamaian.

“May the spirit of harmony, togetherness and cooperation among the people of Sabah continue to be strengthened through ongoing initiatives such as this,” he said.

Meanwhile, Masjid Nurul Huda Tengkurus chairman Antoni Satu and Masjid Kampung Tambulion representative Joeharmawi Tindapau expressed their appreciation to Ewon Benedick for his continued concern for the welfare of the people in the area.

They said the contribution would not only help facilitate the implementation of the Aidiladha sacrificial rites, but also reinforce community ties and the spirit
