“Under this program, 30 entrepreneurs were selected to undergo comprehensive mentoring, equipped with business tools, startup capital, and six months of monitoring. This initiative clearly complements the efforts of my ministry and the government in nurturing quality entrepreneurs and reinforcing the local economy,” he said.

Ewon, who is also the State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Kadamaian, said this when officiating the closing ceremony of the JORAN 2.0 Entrepreneurship and Mentoring Program here today. He further noted that the achievements of JORAN 1.0 participants are solid evidence of the program’s effectiveness, expressing hope that this new cohort will achieve even greater success and serve as role models for other entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, KOSMA Chairman, Datuk Haji Zamri Haji Mohamed, said that more than RM300,000 had been allocated specifically to implement the program in Sabah.

“The effectiveness of this approach was proven in JORAN 1.0, when the first 30 participants managed to increase their collective income from RM300,000 to nearly RM500,000 within six months. We are confident that JORAN 2.0 will generate even greater success while serving as a catalyst for the growth of new entrepreneurs nationwide,” he said, adding that the next series will be held in Pahang.
