DISAPPOINTED because he was not given money, the drug addicted husband decided to stab his wife with a pair of scissors.
“The victim was 21 years old and received three stitches,” said Lahad Datu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Rohan Shah Ahmad.
Rohan said the incident happened on January 20.
A suspect who is the husband of the victim and father of two children was arrested while surrendering at the Kencana Village Police Station.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code which carries a sentence of 10 years imprisonment, fine, whipping or any such punishment if convicted.
