KOTA BELUD (Sabah, Malaysia) 2 september 2025 — The MADANI Government has once again demonstrated its commitment to grassroots development by allocating a substantial RM1.32 million under the Sejahtera Komuniti MADANI (SejaTi MADANI) programme to 14 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and associations in the Kadamaian constituency.
Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives and Kadamaian Assemblyman, Datuk Ewon Benedick, stressed that the SejaTi MADANI initiative is more than just financial assistance — it is a comprehensive Federal Government strategy to strengthen rural economies in a sustainable manner.
“Through SejaTi MADANI, each village and association may receive up to RM100,000. In Kadamaian, allocations ranging from RM49,000 to RM100,000 have been approved for projects such as livestock manure processing, broiler chicken and freshwater fish farming, chilli fertigation, snack production, handicrafts, tailoring, agro-farming, and even traditional massage services,” he said.
The beneficiary villages include Kg Purak Ogis, Kg Melangkap Noriou, Kg Podos, Kg Taginambur Jaya, Kg Tintapon, Kg Pangi, Kg Gensurai, Kg Kiau Nuluh, Kg Gandukut, Kg Mangkulat and Kg Penampatan Wariu. In addition, three associations were selected: the Dusun Tindal Identity Development Association of Kota Belud, Kg Piasau Residents’ Association, and the Kg Gensurai Residents’ Association.
Ewon noted that he personally spent an entire day, together with the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Kadamaian District Office, and the Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) Kadamaian, to inspect the progress of the projects on the ground.
“I am proud that the Kadamaian community is maximising the potential of the SejaTi MADANI allocations with creativity and commitment. I want this fund to serve as a catalyst for rural economic transformation and as a model for other villages.
“New applications continue to come in following our briefing earlier this year, reflecting the determination of the people to collectively embrace SejaTi MADANI. I remain committed to ensuring that fundamental aspects such as land surveying and rural infrastructure development are prioritised, as these are the true game changers for Kadamaian’s economic future,” he emphasised.
With the injection of RM1.32 million, Kadamaian is not merely receiving development aid but is laying down a new foundation to emerge as a model of rural economic transformation in Sabah — in line with the vision of a caring and people-centric MADANI Government.
