SANDAKAN (Sabah, Malaysia), Sept 13 – Support for UPKO in the Gum-Gum constituency is gaining momentum as the party’s flags were seen flying prominently across several areas, reflecting growing grassroots acceptance.
Recently, UPKO Libaran Division Chief, Dr. Peter Jr Naintin, led visits and election machinery briefings at two polling districts – Semawang and Dandulit. The strong turnout and active participation of local residents underscored the party’s strengthening presence on the ground.
According to local political observers, the visit not only highlighted UPKO’s close engagement with grassroots communities but also reinforced its broader strategy to regain public trust in Sandakan, particularly in Gum-Gum.
