KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia), 25 Sept 2025 – Academic staff of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) were emphasised to remain courageous in exploring new frontiers, strengthening industry networks, and producing research that delivers tangible benefits to society and the nation.
UMS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj. Mansor, stressed that true success is only meaningful when it contributes to organisational excellence and elevates UMS’ standing at both the national and international levels.
“UMS is now at the crossroads of significant transformation. Therefore, the achievements celebrated today are not an end, but rather the beginning of new challenges that demand visionary leadership, continuous innovation, and strong integrity,” he said.
He was speaking at the Letter of Appointment Presentation Ceremony for UMS Academic Staff Promotion 2025, held at the Chancellery Building on Wednesday.
