A culture of quality work in school leadership will result in outcomes that fulfil the aspirations of children in particular, ensuring their educational achievement.
Tuan Mudin Beting, Deputy Director of the Student Development Sector of the Sabah Education Department, emphasised that students’ potential should be polished as early as feasible through educators’ dedication and the power of the school team lead by the Headmaster.
As a result, he said, the Sabah Headmasters Council’s (MGBS) Team Building programme is one of the programmes that can help school leaders work together to create student success in a proactive school management team that drives the direction of education development that meets human resource needs and contributes to the country’s bright future.
“That is why, in line with the Ministry of Education’s goal and vision, excellent school leadership is one of the hopes that the human capital born is also of high quality,” he said while officiating the Sabah MGB Team Building programme at the Malanggang Kiulu Tuaran Co-Curriculum Center close here.
At the same time, he.called for leaders as school managers accordingly together with high determination in fighting for the Mission and Vision of the Ministry of Education, especially in the formation of the love of human capital to obtain the right to education.
“We need to be responsible for teachers’ belief that human capital can be formed, unearthed and produce the potential of the students we educate,” he said.
“Therefore, the basis of this belief must be instilled in all teachers led by the school manager, namely the Headmaster and Principal,” he said.
The calibre of students offered from the district level to the ivory tower, he remarked, is a stepping stone to the country’s destiny.
At the same time, I’m speaking at the same council. Tuan Kasbulah Mangun, Chairman of the Sabah MGB and Deputy YDP of the Malaysian Headmasters Council, said that the strong spirit of all Headmasters in successfully teaching and learning the new norms demonstrated the strong commitment of education staff entrusted with managing the school organisation.
Meanwhile, Kasbulah expressed confidence that the Team Building event, which was held for the first time, will deepen the already existent cooperation among school leaders.
MGB delegates and 80 participants from 24 districts from across Sabah attended the three-day, two-night event.
Various activities related to leadership, teamwork, dedication, and a healthy, physical and mental lifestyle, as well as creativity as an educator, were held in conjunction with the curriculum.
